This post highlights how our co-designed, high-impact experiences empower interns to drive real value within our purpose-driven team.
Internships at The Inceptery
At The Inceptery, we do not actively advertise or take on interns. But if we do, we design bespoke internship experiences for proactive individuals who take the initiative to reach out to us. Rather than advertising fixed roles, we co-create each internship around what an intern is passionate about exploring in the realms of sustainability, ESG, sustainable and regenerative business models as well as other ideas on systemic value creation.
A requirement is that they they come with ideas for what they are looking to learn more about. They bring their curiosity and goals; together, we shape meaningful projects that align with both their interests and our mission.
Our internships are high-touch and high-value – our Interns for Impact work closely 1:1 with our team, tackling challenges and projects that matter. From developing governance frameworks to conducting ESG-aligned research, interns gain hands-on experience contributing directly to strategic initiatives from internal needs to client related work and engagements. Rather than specific domains with sustainability, they are expected to be open, adaptable, cognitively ambidextrous practitioners.
As a virtual and globally accessible programme, this makes it possible for people from all walks of life and a broad range of study disciplines to collaborate, learn, and grow with us.
Interns often describe their time here as an opportunity to think globally, work deeply, and learn from a team that genuinely values sustainability, purpose, and practical impact.
If we do take on interns – What do we look for?
Our interns are proactive, energetic, and driven learners who thrive in uncertainty. They think critically, systemically, and holistically, connecting ideas to create meaningful impact. Their curiosity and openness to experimentation fuel creativity, adaptability, and continuous growth across the team.
Our interns also need the capacity to work independently, whilst balancing the use of technology (e.g. teleconferencing software, productivity tools, AI etc) to get things done, but also cross-referencing and contributing themselves to any work that is carried out. We want to foster both independent and collective thought, alongside a high entrepreneurial spirit.
Our past interns to date:
- Aniruddh from India – (Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies (SCMS), Pune)
- Sreylin from Cambodia – (Economics with a minor in data science, Davidson College, USA)
- Anna from Canada – (Environmental Engineering, University of Waterloo, Canada)
- Quynh from Vietnam – (Major in Arts and Media studies, Minor in Human-Centered Engineering, Fulbright University Vietnam)
- Tvisha – Singapore / India, (Just completed her A Levels – looking to pursue Economics at University).
As is clear, our Interns for Impact at The Inceptery are diverse, driven, resourceful and collaborative and in our next post, we will spotlight more about them and their experiences working with our team.
Stay tuned!
